Kevin Donaldson leads Heelstone’s Legal Department as our Chief Legal Officer. Prior to Heelstone, he has over 18+ years of energy-related experience previously at NextEra Energy, Inc successfully overseeing transactions involving mergers & acquisitions, financings (project and corporate), securities, litigation, regulatory, corporate governance, and general employment related matters. He is also an experienced trial attorney securing multiple defense verdicts for energy companies and as an Assistant State attorney for Miami-Dade County, Florida.
Kevin received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University-New Orleans after completing his Master of Business Administration at the University of North Florida. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Florida State University.
Kevin splits his time between Raleigh, North Carolina and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Kevin enjoys spending time with his family traveling, playing tennis, and other outdoor activities.
